BRIDGE CITY — Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers responded, at 7 p.m. on Sunday, to a report of a one vehicle crash at the intersection of Highlander Drive and Patillo Road in Orange County.
The preliminary DPS crash investigation indicates that a 2005 Chevrolet pickup was traveling north on Highlander Drive.
The driver of the Chevrolet disregarded the stop intersection on Highlander Drive, crossed Patillo Road and struck the garage of a private residence.
The driver, 34-year-old Brandy Bradford of Bridge City, was transported to Southeast Texas Medical Center as a precaution before being transported to the Orange County Jail for driving while intoxicated.
None of the occupants in the residence were injured.
This crash remains under investigation.
