PRESS RELEASE — Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas. I had a perfect one. I wish everyone a Happy New Year. Let’s see what’s going on.
Deputy Owens stopped a vehicle on Hwy 12. The driver decided since he had drugs in the pickup, he needed to run. Off to Louisiana he goes. Make a long story short, we got his pickup and a couple grams of his meth. We are getting felony warrants as we speak. Great job Quinton.
The Bon Wier post office was broken into and ransacked. Money orders taken along with some packages. Postal Inspectors were notified. Several post offices in Texas and Louisiana were hit within 2 days. Talked to Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office and advised one subject was in jail. They received a Crime Stoppers tip.
Received a call where someone stole all the gas from a church van. Anyone sees someone snooping around the Baptist Church in Bon Wier, let us know.
A man stole a game camera over the weekend. It’s the kind that sends pictures back to your cell phone. Guess what, the guy took a picture of himself. We are 95% sure who it is. We will see you this week dummy.
Several camps broken into on FM 363. We need a little help. Anyone knows anything, please let us know.
Gotta go. Thought for the week: No man has a good enough memory to be a successful liar. Ya’ll have a great week and if we can help, just holler. God Bless.
