No serious injuries in wreck where cars caught on fire

On December 20, 2019, at approximately 8:00p.m., the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) responded to a multiple vehicle crash at the intersection of SH 12 and FM 1136 in Orange County.A 2019 Kia passenger vehicle was traveling westbound on SH 12.  A 2007 Toyota SUV was traveling eastbound on SH 12.  The driver of the Kia failed to yield the right of way turning left onto FM 1136 and was struck by the Toyota.   Upon impact, the Kia caught fire.

The driver of the Kia, 38-year-old Eddie Dunwoody Jr. of Vidor, sustained minor injuries but refused transport to a hospital.

The driver of the Toyota, 19-year-old Joey Stark of Beaumont, and his passenger were not injured in the crash.

No one from the crash was seriously injured as previously reported to DPS Troopers.
