HOOP WRAP: Lady Bobcats, Lady Bears net district wins

ORANGEFIELD – The Orangefield Lady Bobcats ran their District 22-3A record to 3-0 Friday night by defeating the Kirbyville Lady Wildcats 56-32 at Bobcat Gym.

Faith FSregia paced the defending 22-3A champion Lady Bobcats with 27 points, five steals and three assists.

Jacey Bourque filtered in 16 points and had four rebounds and three steals. Madison Greenway added seven rebounds for the Lady Bobcats, who will compete in the Aggieland Tournament in College Station Dec. 26-28.

 

LC-M girls

LITTLE CYPRESS – The Little Cypress-Mauriceville Lady Bears evened up their District 22-4A mark at 1-1 Friday night at the Grove by cruising past the Hamshire-Fannett Lady Longhorns 56-28.

Chelsea Perry powered the LC-M arsenal with 20 points, eight rebounds and four steals.

Brittany Wyatt came up with a nice double-double, tallying 15 points while yanking down 11 rebounds.

Brielle Butler filtered in 10 points and had four steals while Christina Joseph added six points.

The Lady Bears will be in the East Chambers Tournament Dec. 26-28.

 

BC boys

BRIDGE CITY – The Bridge City Cardinals flew past Bob Hope School 99-44 in hoop action at Cardinal Gym Friday.

Gabe Castillo paced the Cardinal attack with 24 points.

Grant Boudreaux scored 15 points for the Cardinals while Ray Epperly and Ethan Oceguera scored 13 points apiece.

 

LC-M boys

TARKINGTON – The Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bears absorbed a tough 47-38 road loss to the Tarkington Longhorns Friday night.

Da’Marion Morris and Jesse Doucette led the Bears with 11 points apiece.

The Bears will return to action at their own tournament Dec. 30-31.

Also on Friday night, the Vidor Pirates defeated the West Orange-Stark Mustangs 47-45 at Mustang Gym.

WO-S will compete in the East Chambers Tournament Dec. 26-28.
