Orange County Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest in the armed robbery of the M&S Grocery in Little Cypress.

The robbery occurred Sunday night and Sheriff’s Office investigators have been working diligently following leads, interviewing potential witnesses, and securing search warrants for electronically stored records.

An affidavit of probable cause was submitted to and approved by the Orange County District Attorney’s Office for the arrest of Brandon Michael Perritt, 21, and Horace Babineaux, 44.

Perritt and Babineaux are from Louisiana but have been recently living in West Orange.

Orange County investigators with the assistance of the Orange County Special Services Division and the West Orange Police Department set out to affect the arrest and located the suspects driving near State Hwy 62 and Interstate-10.

A felony traffic stop was conducted, and the two suspects were taken into custody without incident.

Perritt and Babineaux will be booked into the Orange County Jail on Aggravated Robbery charges and bond will be set upon arraignment.

Sheriff Merritt said the Crime Stopper tips were vital in solving this crime.
