A man died in a single-vehicle rollover crash north of Bridge City Friday morning, according to Bridge City Police Detective B. Joiner.
Bridge City dispatch received the call around 9:30 a.m. reporting a one vehicle rollover crash in the 4700 block of Farm to Market Road 1442.
“A male victim was driving southbound on F.M. 1442 when his Ford Ranger pickup drifted over the road, the driver over-corrected to the left and flipped over,” BCPD said.
The man was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected as the vehicle rolled several times.

The man was pronounced deceased at the scene by Orange County Justice of Peace Simonton at 9:42 a.m.
The name of the man has not yet been released until proper notification has been made to next of kin.

An autopsy has been ordered on the victim.

The case remains under investigation by Bridge City Police.
Farm to Market Road 1442 was closed in both directions for several hours while police investigated the crash and has since reopened.
