TENNISON TOURNEY: Lady Bobcats devour Vidor

ORANGEFIELD – In early action at their own Tennison Tournament Thursday, the Orangefield Lady Bobcats skated past the Vidor Lady Pirates 75-26 at Bobcat Gym.

The Lady Bobcat press was simply too much for the Lady Pirates. Vidor committed a whopping 48 turnovers in the contest, including 18 in a first quarter that saw Orangefield take command with a 22-3 lead.

Orangefield stretched it to 35-7 by the half and then outscored Vidor 40-19 in the second half.

Faith Fregia paced the Lady Bobcats with 19 points, 12 coming in the second half.

Jacey Bourque and Kenadie Dubois tallied 12 points apiece. Stormi Lorenzo contributed eight points and five rebounds while Harleigh Rawls added seven points and seven rebounds.

The Lady Bobcats, who only had 16 turnovers, outrebounded the Lady Pirates 29-25.

Jana Baters and Taylor Qaguespack had six points apiece for the Lady Pirates, both hitting a pair of three-pointers while Macy Lear had six points and five boards.

The West Orange-Stark Lady Mustangs defeated Beaumont Kelly 52-43. B’Jne Arvie and Marlandria Hebert led the Lady Mustangs with 17 points apiece.
