Tekoa Academy of Accelerated Studies, along with its corporate partner Target, from 8 a.m. – 10 a.m. on Friday, December 13, will host their 2nd Annual shopping spree for 50 families at Target inside Central Mall (3100 Hwy. 365 – Port Arthur).  

The shopping spree is sponsored by the 2019 Target Community Impact Grant with matching funds from Tekoa Academy. Monitors from the Houston National Retired Basketball Players Association, Houston Rockets Front Office, Tekoa staff and other community partners will be available to assist parents.

To qualify, families must participate in a two-day Tekoa Academy “Family Financial Literacy” Workshop on December 11 and 12, presented by Mr. Kevin Loder, Vice-President with the National Basketball Retired Players Association (NBRPA) – Houston Chapter. 

Training in Orange will be from 12:00 pm. until 1:30 pm. at the North Orange Baptist Church Campus. (4775 N. 16th St) and in Port Arthur from 3:00 pm until 4:30 pm at Tekoa Academy, (327 Thomas Blvd.)
