Jefferson County Judge Jeff Branick has lifted the evacuation orders for residents living in Nederland, Port Neches, Groves and portions of Port Arthur.

The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) urges residents to continue to use caution when traveling through previously restricted areas due to the continued presence of emergency personnel and first responders. Returning residents should follow the traffic instructions of law enforcement officers and other emergency services personnel.

DPS offers the following tips for returning residents.

• Do not drive around barricades.

• Beware of water hoses lying across the road and do not drive over them.

• Eliminate distractions in your vehicle. Give driving your full attention.

• Slow down.
