Orange firefighters were kept busy as they battled an early morning blaze for several hours on Sunday.

The structure fire was reported shortly after 3:30 a.m. in the 300 block of W. New York Street in Orange.

Upon arrival on the scene, firefighters found the back of a jointed two-story home fully engulfed in flames with heavy smoke coming from the structure.

According to a neighbor on the scene, he last saw the residents moving out three days prior to the fire. The structure was empty at the time of the fire.

Entergy personnel responded to the scene to secure power coming from the structure as flames caused some of the running power lines to fall down.

No injuries were reported from the fire and firefighters battled the blaze for several hours.

Fire Marshall John Bilbo was called to the scene for further investigation. Also, additional firefighters were called in to help battle the blaze.

The cause of the fire is not known at the time and the home was deemed a total loss.
