LITTLE CYPRESS – The Little Cypress- Lady Bears toppled the Nederland Lady Bulldogs 45-35 Monday in non-district hoop action.

The Lady Bears (2-2) jumped on the Lady Bulldogs early, getting out to a 17-6 lead by the end of the first quarter and led 28-9 by intermission.

Chelsea Perry led the Lady Bears with 12 points, seven rebounds, three steals and three blocks.

Christina Joseph had eight points. Zaria Johnson notched six points and five steals and Brittany Wyatt had six points.

LITTLE CYPRESS – The Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bears downed the Buna Cougars 61-54 Monday at The Grove to nab their first win of the season.

Jesse Doucette led the balanced Bears (1-2) with 16 points.

Jackson Smith filtered in 15 points while Cole Freeman had 13 and Brendon Bones contributed 11.

Calvin Estridge led Buna with 12 points.
