Newton County Sheriff’s Report 11.11.19

PRESS RELEASE — Hope everyone had a great week. Chief Deputy Cynthia Hall has been on vacation. Welcome Back Chief.

Today is Veterans Day. I would like to thank all who served. Let’s continue to pray for all the families whose loved ones gave all. Also, Happy Birthday to the Marines out there. November 10th was their 243rd birthday.

Let’s see what’s been going on. Neighbors dog killed neighbors’ chickens. Not good. Neighbors want money for their chickens. We can’t make them do that. Court has to.

We got a 911 where ex-husband tried to run over ex-wife. He stated “he wasn’t trying to run her over”, he was just using his vehicle to push her vehicle off his property. All over child custody.

Lady called wanting her young juvenile sister removed from the roof of her car.

Deputy Owens recovered a stolen vehicle and one person was arrested. Good job Quinton.

We had another deer camp burglarized. Only one victim called but others will soon contact us because other camps were hit. Two rifles reported stolen so far. Game cameras help us a lot. Please use them on your camp.

Gotta go. Thought for the week: Only time can heal your broken heart; just as only time can heal your broken arms and legs. Ya’ll have a great week and if we can help, just holler! God Bless.
