Lady Bears zip past Bay City in area round

- Van Wade/Orange Leader The LC-M Lady Bears bolted past Bay City in Class 4A area round playoff action Friday night.
PASADENA – The Little Cypress-Mauriceville Lady Bears advanced to the Class 4A Region III quarterfinals Friday night by downing Bay City 25-5, 25-15, 24-26, 25-20 in Pasadena in the area round of the playoffs.
The Lady Bears (29-10) will now storm into the 4A Region III quarterfinals Monday against Splendora at 6 p.m. at Barbers Hill High School.
Caitlin Woods had 33 assists and eight aces to help spark the Lady Bears win over Bay City.
Trinity Williams notched 20 digs and seven kills. Brielle Butler contributed 16 digs while Chelsea Perry claimed three blocks.
