The Little Cypress-Mauriceville Lady Bears volleyball team knows their opponent and playoff destination for the area round of the Class 4A Region III playoffs.

The Lady Bears will face the Bay City Lady Blackcats Friday at 8 p.m. at Phillips Field House in Pasadena, located at 2909 Dabne Dr. in Pasadena.

The Lady Bears (28-10) are coming off an impressive five-game bidistrict playoff win over the Tarkington Lady Longhorns 16-25, 25-19, 25-20, 23-25, 15-7 to advance.

Meanwhile, Bay City, the fourth-place team out of District 24-4A, defeated District 23-4A champion Houston Washington 3-1 to advance.

The winner between LC-M and Bay City will face either Splendora or Sweeny in the regional quarterfinals next week.
