Chemical Row second annual Chili Cookoff is Thursday

‘Something’s Burning’ may have some competition this year at the second annual Chemical Row Chili Cookoff on Thursday. Firestone Polymers chili cook off team ‘Something’s Burning’ was named the Chemical Row Chili Cookoff winner was named the winner of the inaugural cookoff last year.
The Chili Cookoff is scheduled from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7 at the DowDuPont Business Center (formerly DERA) as a way to help raise funds for the United Way of Orange County.
United Way of Orange County is currently in its annual campaign to raise funds for the upcoming fiscal year.
Last year the competition was tough as judges had to select one team as the winner.
This year’s competition is rumored to be even tougher.
A bowl of chili, crackers, and soft drink or bottled water is $10 at the door. Preorders will be provided by Old Orange Café and delivery available for preorders of 10 or more.
$20 wristbands to taste all the chili entries and receive one bowl of chili, crackers, and a drink.
One can also meet and greet United Way Partner Agency representatives and have a chance to win door prizes.
All chili proceeds benefit United Way of Orange County.
