PRESS RELEASE — Hope everyone had a good week. Not too bad here. Hope everyone got a big buck last weekend. I didn’t.
Last weekend was opening weekend of Deer Season (gun). We had so many calls if was unreal. We had two guns stolen out of vehicles at two different deer camps. We had two deer camps broken into. We had one deer hunter get lost in the woods. We had three calls about hunters shooting near houses. The good thing about all this is, nobody got hurt. If the people who broke into the two camps are caught by the victims, it won’t be good.
Loggers off County Road 4029 found bones and a human skull. It has been in the woods for a long time. We are taking the remains to North Texas to let them profile them (age, gender, and DNA). With a lot of luck, we may know who it is. Thanks goes out to Ranger Haralson and Chief Will Jackson for all the help.
Received a call from Orange County. A Trooper stopped a vehicle with a gas pump nozzle sticking out of the gas tank. Said he forgot to take it out. Duh! Duh!
A man called and said he shot two trespassers in his attic. Didn’t happen. Same man who shot holes in his attic several weeks ago. Bad dope and a guilty conscience.
Gotta go. Thought for the week: Love is like a backache. It doesn’t show up on x-rays but you know it’s there. You have a great week and if we can help, just holler. God Bless.
