The National Weather Service in Lake Charles is expecting showers and thunderstorms to develop Wednesday afternoon, and continue into Wednesday night. There is a marginal 5% risk for strong to severe storms during this time. Damaging winds, large hail and an isolated tornado are all possible. Rain totals are forecast to be an inch or less.
