BCJH Eighth Grade team captures district volleyball crown

The Bridge City 8th Grade Red team clinched the district title last night defeating Hardin-Jefferson 26- 28, 25-19, 25-16. Serving was once again a strong point for the team. Demi Carter led the way in serving with 17 serves including 6 aces. Rylynn Thornton, Laken Bellanger and Alle Palmer all had a great night at the service line. Leading the way in attacks was Demi Carter with 9 kills and Carsen Fall with 6 kills. Lexi Nugier, Kennedy Frank and Rylynn Thornton all contributed several kills as well.  Haley Munoz led the team with assists while Ashley Hale, Vivian Cochran and Allee Palmer led the back row with digs. The girls had an amazing season earning the title of undefeated District Champs. This was the 3rd year in a row for the 8th grade Red team to be undefeated District Champs. The Cardinals finish 12-2 on the season and 7-0 in district play.
