PRESS RELEASE — Hope everyone had a great weekend. Not too bad around here. Let’s see what’s been going on.

We got a call about a car driving all over the highway. The call indicated a drunk driver. Chief Deputy got the car stopped. Our drug dog and officers found drugs and a pistol. Man in jail for drugs and Felon in Possession of Fire Arm. Good job Cynthia.

We had a shop in Deweyville get broken into. There were two small welding machines stolen. One was a small Miller with a carrying case, the other was a Chicago Mag welder. Also, a Corrientes 16” high back saddle. It may have an old set of saddlebags still attached to the saddle. Any help would be appreciated. Would love to have this thief in our jail.

Got a call from a lady about a scam. She told the scammer to “hold on and let her ask her husband, who is the sheriff”. The caller hung up. Good girl. Ya’ll feel free to do the same.

We had two calls from drunks this week. They were complaining that friends took their car keys and wouldn’t let them drive off. Great job friends.

Several calls on deer getting hit. Rut is close, so watch out for those goofy deer. Also, I’m asking deer hunters zeroing rifles in to please have a good backstop. Bullets travel a long way.

What has happened to my Dallas Cowboys!!!

Gotta go. Thought for the week: Good judgement comes from experience and a lot of my experience comes from bad judgement. Ya’ll have a good week and if we can help, just holler. God bless.
