The Orangefield Fighting Bobcats finally went on the road to Kirbyville with the 7th grade looking to continue their undefeated streak and the 8th grade looking to pick up their first win of the season.

The 7th grade started off trading touchdowns back and forth with Kirbyville until we finally settled in coming away with a 36-24 victory. Naqualan Cormier coasted to a total of 233 yards rushing and 5 touchdowns on the night while Zachary Morrow used his elusive magic to find his way into the end zone on a quarterback sneak to silence the crowd. After Coach McDonald made some brilliant in game adjustments the defense was led by Talan Hampton, Steyle Spurlock, and Colt Longron who came away with a huge interception right before halftime.

The 8th grade fought hard in a very physical contest and held their own for a while until finally losing 30-6. The offense moved the ball up and down the field but had several key penalties that did not allow the to find the end zone when they needed but Caleb Fregia did score on a 21 yard scamper for our lone touchdown for the evening. Kane Smith showed off some touch throwing for close to 100 yards on the night and Dustin Helm was player of the game having a great night on both sides of the ball and contributing in every way possible. Defensive standouts were Kameron Gibson and Ethan Blackburn trying to contain the Kirbyville run game.
