Newton County Sheriff’s Weekly Report 9.30.19

PRESS RELEASE — Sometimes Monday mornings I’m so busy, its hard to do a Sheriff’s report. This is one of those Mondays but I’m gonna try. The most important thing going on is our country. This great nation of ours is sick. What’s going on in Washington is making even me sick. Please pray for our country.

We got a call about a stolen tractor at a man’s house. Sure enough, it was stolen out of Harris County. A man from Call made a deal on Facebook. We are working with DPS and Harris County on this. Be careful buying things that way.

A man’s house got flooded and a friend loaned him an air conditioner. Guess he hocked the air conditioner. With a little bit of luck, we can get it back. Not a nice guy!

We had two 4 wheelers stolen over the weekend. No serial numbers. Makes it hard on us to recover. Please take pictures, write down or record all your serial numbers. Helps us a bunch if they get stolen.

Critter calls all week. We had 3 dog bites where medical attention was required. Horses and cows were out all week. If you have critters, please keep them up. We need the help.

Gotta go: Thought for the week. If your ship doesn’t come in, swim out to it. Ya’ll have a great week and if we can help, just holler. God Bless.

P.S. Me and momma went to an old Swap Hop Dance Saturday in Orange. Guess only old people like that kind of music. Good stuff.
