U.S. Congressman Brian Babin (TX-36) has relocated his Southeastern district office from the Port of Orange to the new Orange City Hall located at 812 N. 16th Street in Orange to better serve constituents in the region.

The new office, located in downtown Orange, has better accessibility from Interstate 10 and will provide additional parking to accommodate constituents.

“One of the great privileges that I have as a representative in Congress is the ability to help folks with federal agencies by intervening on their behalf,” Babin said. “While we cannot guarantee specific outcomes, we promise to do all within our power to make sure you never slip through the cracks. Over the past few years, our office has been able to help several thousand constituents address concerns with FEMA, Social Security, Veterans’ benefits, the IRS, Passports, and many other federal agencies.”

It was announced the office would relocate to the City of Orange City Hall during the grand opening earlier this month.

Babin gifted the city with a flag, which had flown over the Capital, was presented by his representative Lanie Brown during the event.

A ribbon-cutting was originally planned but has been postponed out of respect for the community and as Congressman Babin and his staff are focusing resources on recovery efforts in the wake of Tropical Storm Imelda.

The district office will be open 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Constituents needing to make appointments should call 409-883-80
