Pinehurst Fire Chief Shon Branham, on behalf of the entire Fire Department, presents Vinna, left, and Scotty Storey with a card and a gift card for being heroes to the firefighters during a recent structure fire. The couple, along with their son, Zackariah Mitchell, provided the first responders with bottled water as they battled a fire fully engulfing the home. Branham said there was seldom an opportunity for unsung heroes to claim a hero, and this family was truly a hero to the department that day.
