WO-S grad, UT trackster Dupree goes on great mission
Former West Orange-Stark track standout and current University of Texas track athlete Jared Dupree was selected to participate in the Texas Athletics and Courts for Kids service trip to Panama this summer (August 17th – 25th, 2019). Jared, along with 18 other Texas Longhorn Athletes and Staff participated in this service mission trip. The trip was made possible through the donation of a very generous donor.
The daily work included manual labor of using shovels and hoes, pouring cement, and digging up large boulders. A basketball court and other playground equipment was completed from the work.
Jared stated “this was my first time to travel abroad outside of the United States. It was a great spiritual adventure to help the village township, build relationships, and just appreciate a different culture and discover new perspectives in life.”
