Shower and thunderstorm chances will increase Friday into the weekend. Locally heavy rainfall/flooding will be the primary hazard.
Cooler than normal temperatures are expected Friday into the weekend, then return to near normal next week. Daytime heat indices will be trending upward next week.
Tropical Depression Chantal is expected to weaken to a remnant low, while another disturbance is being monitored for development off the east coast of Florida. No tropical cyclone development is expected in the Gulf of Mexico over the next 5 days.
