Bobcat CC teams fare well in Huffman Meet

HUFFMAN — The Orangefield Cross Country Team participated in the Huffman Relays to start their season this past Friday.
Both the boys and girls competed against Class 4A-6A competition.
The Lady Bobcats placed fifth as a team.
Maddison Helm and Cadence Harrelson paced the Lady Bobcats with a third-place time of 25:46. Katelynn Helm and Draven Crochet placed 14th with a 27:34 and Gracie Castro and Kira Merendino placed 50th with a 33:47.
On the boys side in a six-mile relay, Bobcats Payton Wrinkle and Bryce Moore nabbed 20th with a time of 37:29 while teammates Dylan Wells and Leyton Loft were 55th with a 43:19.
