Alexis Sturrock, of Orange, will find achieving her goals a little easier after being declared the winner in a scholarship competition. 

Sturrock is currently working three jobs to help pay her way through college. She needed the scholarship funds to reach her goals.

She is pursuing a bachelor’s degree at Lamar University in social work with two minors in Spanish and psychology.

The 2019 Side Hustlin’ Scholarship Winner receives a $2000 scholarship.
