PRESS RELEASE — I’m in school in San Antonio with the rest of the Texas Sheriffs. Guess what, they have the same problems we do. Let’s see what’s been going on.

We received a call from Charles Boyett. Oliver, the missing service dog was located in Missouri. Seems someone thought he had been dumped so they rescued him Make a long story short, Oliver is home.

We recovered two stolen saddles. Thanks to the man who purchased them for releasing them to us. Saddle owner was very happy.

We had a pistol stolen from a mans pickup in Deweyville. The thief was begging for money. The victim gave him $20.00 While the victim was getting in the glove box, the thief took the pistol out of the door. That’s sorry. We need to catch this thug.

We are receiving a lot of child custody calls. Folks please remember that your kids see everything.

We received several calls on horses that are not being fed. If you own a horse, feed them.

Newton County Constable, Holton (Bubba) Johnson was involved in an altercation @ the Baptist Church at Toledo Bend. Bubba was injured and had to seek medical attention. Thanks to Bubba’s fast actions, he may have prevented a more serious crime. Suspect is till at large. Please remember Bubba in your prayers.

Gotta go. Thought for the week: Be somebody who makes everybody feel like a somebody. Ya’ll have a good week, if we can help, just holler. God Bless.
