The City of Vidor Police Department responded to the following calls from July 3 – July 9, 2019:

 

Wednesday, July 3

• Traffic collision near James Brown’s Gumbo House and Grill on Main Street. A vehicle struck a telephone pole, knocking out the power northbound of Interstate 10.
• Suspicious person at the 1100 block of Tannahill Street
• Burglary at the 500 block of West Freeway
• Welfare check at the 200 block of East Freeway. A person claimed to be taking a nap to get out of the rain. Person was advised to leave.
• Traffic collison near Orange and Concord
• Suspicious person at the 200 block of Reynolds Lane

 

Thursday, July 4

• Suspicious activity at the 200 block of Howell Street
• Disturbance at the city park by the Library
• Disturbance at the 100 block of Carla Street
• Disturbance at the 2000 block of Wharton Street
• Assault at the 400 block of Virginia Lane
• Theft at Walmart
• Suspicious person at the 200 block of Mill Street
• Disturbance on Jefferson Street

 

Friday, July 5

• Suspicious person at the 200 block of Reynolds Lane
• Welfare check at the 200 block of Orange Street. A woman was reported to be laying in the ditch. Woman told the officer she stopped to take a break.
• Harassment at the 300 block of Courtland Street
• Burglary at the 400 block of North Main Street
• Suspicious person at the 100 block of Camp Street
• Fire near Caney Creek and Farm to Market Road 1132
• Pursuit near State Hwy. 12 and Linscomb
• Suspicious person at the 800 block of Clearview Street
• Traffic collision at the 200 block of Alamo Street

Saturday, July 6

• Suspicious vehicle on Harvey
• Suspicious vehicle at the 200 block of Howell Street
• Theft near South Lakeside and Interstate 10
• Animal call at Auburn Square. A dog was locked inside a vehicle.
• Suspicious activity at the 2500 block of State Hwy. 12
• Assault at the 200 block of Claiborne Street
• Disturbance at the 1400 block of South Timberlane Street
• Animal call near OST and South Dewitt

 

Sunday, July 7

• Threat at the 500 block of State Street
• Assault at the 100 block of Peach Street
• Harassment at the 1000 block of Orange Street
• Trespassing at the 100 block of Peach Street
• Suspicious person at the 200 block of Carla Street

 

Monday, July 8

• Assault at the 800 block of South Dewitt Street
• Assist other agency eastbound through Vidor. Assisted Jefferson County in pursuit of a vehicle with a homicide suspect inside.
• Suspicious vehicle at the 400 block of West David Loop
• Theft at the 1500 block of Ricky Lane
• Suspicious activity at the 800 block of Orange Street
• Suspicious person at the 200 block of West Courtland
• Suspicious person at the 200 block of South Archie 
• Suspicious vehicle at the 1700 block of Redbud Street
• Suspicious person near Goliad and Dewitt
• Suspicious person at the 500 block of North Main

• Assault at the 800 block of South Dewitt Street
• Suspicious person at the 1200 block of North Archie Street
• Theft at the 500 block of North Main
• Suspicious person near Wilson and Interstate 10
• Suspicious activity at Crossroads Shopping Center
