BCISD Board of Trustees approves raises for teachers, librarians, RNs, and counselors

The Bridge City ISD Board of Trustees has approved a new salary schedule for teachers, librarians, RNs, and counselors that is in compliance with HB 3 requirements and exceeds the state minimum salary schedule

The salary schedule was revised to prioritize differentiated compensation for classroom teachers with more than five years of experience as prescribed under Section 48.051  (c) (1) of the Education Code.

Teachers, librarians, RNs and counselors with 0-5 years of experience will receive an average salary increase of a 4.41-percent, while staff with six years and more experience will receive an average salary increase of 8.49-percent.   

Non-teaching staff will receive a 6-percent salary increase for the 2019-2020 school year.

All salary increases are effective on July 1, 2019.
