Fun, fireworks and music for the 4th of July celebration

The City of Orange has announced the 2019 4th of July Concert and Fireworks Celebration set to start at 5 p.m. Thursday, July 4 at the Riverfront Boardwalk and Pavilion. 

The celebration begins with live entertainment from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. by Gregg Martinez and the Delta Kings.

Gregg “Mac Daddy” Martinez is Louisiana’s premier Blues/R&B/Swamp Pop artist and a member of the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame. His blend of blues, R&B and swamp pop music he describes as “bayou blues and Creole soul.” Gregg was born and raised and still lives in the Cajun country of south Louisiana, according to his official website.

Members of the Delta Kings, Tim Courville on drums, Ron Eades on saxophone, Gregg Kingston on guitar, Sid Daigle on bass and Darryl Fontenot on keyboards, all rein from Louisiana. Eades is one of the founders of the Muscle Shoals Horn Section, he played on hundreds of records and dozens of hits from Wilson Pickett to Percy Sledge, at the famed studio town in Muscle Shoals, AL, and has toured extensively with the likes of Elton John and many others.

A spectacular fireworks display will begin immediately following the concert at 9 p.m.  

Concessions and kids activities will be available on site. 

This event is free to the public.

No dogs or pets will be allowed at the Riverfront Boardwalk and Pavilion.  

Coolers are welcome and chairs are encouraged.
