Police arrest 2 in EZ Pawn robbery

PRESS RELEASE — On 06/19/2019, at 10:38 am, officers responded to 1100 16th Street (EZ Pawn) in reference to an Aggravated Robbery. Officers were advised that two black males entered the store, one with a firearm, and took several pieces of jewelry. The black males then left the store on foot as officers approached the area.
Once in the area, Officer Kirkpatrick observed a vehicle leaving at high rate of speed. After a short pursuit, the vehicle stopped, and two black males fled on foot. Officer Kirkpatrick located the passenger, and Officer Williams located the driver a short time later hiding in a wooded area near by.
Officers also located approximately $50,000.00 of jewelry taken from EZ Pawn in the vehicle. The two males were identified as, Jordan Broussard, and Elijah Traylor, both from Houston. They were arrested and charged with Aggravated Robbery, and Evading Arrest.
