The City of Vidor Police Department responded to the following calls from June 5 – June 11, 2019:

 

Wednesday, June 5

  • Suspicious activity at the 500 block of East Freeway
  • Traffic collision near Interstate 10 westbound, west of Lost Lake Lane
  • Traffic collision near Interstate 10 eastbound at Cow Bayou
  • Public intoxication outside of Red Wagon Café. Person was released to Beaumont Police Department.
  • Suspicious activity at Walmart
  • Panhandling at McDonald’s.
  • Traffic collision near Interstate 10 eastbound and Doty Road
  • Suspicious person in the parking lot of Woods Mini Storage

 

Thursday, June 6

  • Traffic hazard near Pineshadow and Orange Street. A large tree was in the middle of the roadway.
  • Theft at the 500 block of Ivy Lane
  • Suspicious vehicle on West Bolivar. The vehicle was selling ice cream
  • Suspicious vehicle near Dewitt and Hwy. 90
  • Two separate reports of suspicious person at the 400 block of West Courtland Street
  • Suspicious activity at the 200 block of South Archie Street
  • Suspicious vehicle at the 600 block of South Archie Street

 

Friday, June 7

  • Suspicious person at the 200 block of South Archie Street
  • Burglary at the 1100 block of Church Street
  • Criminal mischief at the 200 block of Howell Street
  • Fraud at the Vidor Police Department. A person, named Max, called the station and stated the computers were downloaded viruses and wanted to know if they were aware. The dispatcher said they were aware and had an IT department. When the person was asked their name again, he hung up. The call was logged and reported. Never give personal information when someone calls you. This is a scam to get your personal information.
  • Solicitation from roadway at the 700 block of Park Street.
  • Theft at Vidor Health and Rehab.
  • Hit and run at Rikenjaks Brewing Co.
  • Traffic collision on East Railroad
  • Reckless driver on Interstate 10 eastbound
  • Suspicious activity at Vidor High School. Three to four juveniles were running around the campus at night.
  • Disturbance on Gail Street
  • Traffic hazard on East Railroad. A train had stopped on the tracks for over 30 minutes.

 

Saturday, June 8

  • Disturbance at the 500 block of Chesser Street
  • Disturbance at the 100 block of Pineshadow
  • Narcotics near Interstate 10 eastbound and Railroad. A man was asleep in a truck facing the wrong way. He was transported to the Orange County Jail
  • Disturbance on Beach Street
  • Disturbance at the 900 block of Leon Street
  • Traffic collision on Interstate 10 westbound
  • Assault at the 700 block of Poplar
  • Suspicious activity near Jennings and Windwood
  • Theft at Dollar General
  • Traffic hazard near Hwy. 12 and Evangeline Lane. A tree was in the roadway
  • Traffic collision at the 1400 block of South Timberlane Street

 

Sunday, June 9

  • Traffic hazard at Interstate 10 Westbound. A vehicle was stopped in the left-hand lane. DPS to the person to Orange County jail for Driving under the influence.
  • Burglary at the 100 block of Carla Street
  • Traffic hazard at the 1200 block of Orange Street. A tree was in the roadway
  • Traffic hazard at the 800 block of Main. A young male was walking in the middle lane and not moving out of the way of the cars according to the caller.
  • Traffic collision at the 200 block of Main
  • Suspicious person on Goliad
  • Suspicious person on South Archie
  • Loitering at Crossroads Shopping Center

 

Monday, June 10

  • Suspicious person at McDonald’s
  • Trespassing at Woods Mini Storage
  • Suspicious vehicle on Archie Street
  • Suspicious person Gunstream’s Tire Repair.
  • Traffic stop at the 300 block of Main Street. Female had three warrants and was released to Beaumont Police Department.
  • Suspicious activity at the 200 block of Dewitt Street
  • Trespassing at the 500 block of West Railroad.
  • Suspicious person at Dollar General
  • Theft at Woods Mini Storage
  • Disturbance at the Vidor Apartments
  • Suspicious vehicle at Vidor Apartments
  • Traffic collision at the 1300 block of Main
  • Traffic hazard near Hwy. 12 and Linscomb. A chair was in the roadway.
  • Reckless/ Dangerous driver near Hwy. 90 and Main Street
  • Threat at the 2500 block of Roosevelt Street. A person reported a scam phone call and was aware it was a scam. Never give personal information when someone calls you. This is a scam to get your personal information and money.
  • Disturbance on Travis Street
  • Panhandling at McDonald’s.
  • Suspicious person at the 500 block of South Archie

 

Tuesday, June 11

  • Suspicious vehicle at the 100 block of North Dewitt Street
  • Disturbance at the 200 block of North Dewitt Street
  • Reckless/Dangerous driver on Interstate 10 eastbound in Rose City.
  • Disturbance at the 2700 block of Hwy. 12 in Vidor
  • Animal call at the 600 block of Dewitt Street. Dogs attacked and killed two goats.
  • Littering/dumping at the 200 block of Concord Street. A person reported people throwing trash out in his yard.
  • Disturbance at the 500 block of Bolivar Street
  • Suspicious person near Main and Alamo
  • Suspicious person at Vidor Apartments
  • Public intoxication at the 800 block of Orange Street
  • Threat at the 200 block of Elizabeth Street
  • Panhandling at Super Star.
