A man faces a third driving under the influence after losing control of his vehicle on Tuesday night.

John Joseph Legault Jr was driving east in the 1100 block of Western Avenue in West Orange when he lost control of the car, causing it to roll over onto the driver’s side of the vehicle in the middle of the road on Adams Bayou Bridge.

Legault had heavily slurred speech and watery, glassy eyes according to a police report. An officer on the scene performed a field sobriety test on Legault.

Legault after starting the test, told the officer he did not want to perform any field sobriety tests at that time.
Due to Legault being in a collision, he was taken to a hospital for medical clearance before being transported to the Orange County Jail.

A blood sample was obtained by a search warrant.

He was charged with driving while intoxicated 3rd or more, a 3rd degree felony. Since he did not consent to the blood draw, Legault’s driver’s license was confiscated.
