Bridge City pitcher Peyton Havard and Orangefield outfielder Johnny Armstrong were recently selected to the Texas Baseball Coaches All-State Baseball Team.
Armstrong made the Class 3A Second Team as an outfielder for the Bobcats as he was strong at the plate and in the field in helping Orangefield reach the Class 3A Region III Regional Quarterfinals.
Havard was a master on the mound once again for the Cardinals, helping lead the squad into the Area Round of the Class 4A Region III playoffs. Havard was a Second Team All-State 4A selection.
Armstrong was a First Team All-Orange Leader Team selection while Havard was named Most Valubale Player of the All-Leader Team.
The only other Southeast Texas players that made All-State in classes 6A down to Class 2A were Kirbyville pitcher James Burchett and his teammate first baseman Justin Herriage, who both made First Team in Class 3A.
