To The Leader

Four Vidor High School Automotive Tech students, Jack Gallier, Syed Kazmi, Dylan McCord, and Kelly Raffield partnered with Cowboy Harley-Davidson Beaumont in an international contest called Battle of the Kings. The eight-man team took a brand-new motorcycle and stripped it down and customized it to make it look completely different than before. The motorcycle was voted on by the public and it received the Peoples Choice Award.  May 21 the students went to Cowboy Harley Beaumont where Harley District Manager Mr. Dave Johnson presented the trophy from the Harley-Davidson Corporation.

The motorcycle is on display at Harley Davidson in Beaumont at this time. The next level is a judging June 3-7 which they will narrow it down to eighteen across the nation. If it advances, the next level is judging on June 24 when it will be narrowed again to the top three bikes. Later in August, the three bikes will advance to Milwaukee for the one top winner that goes on to Milan, Italy to compete internationally.
