BEAUMONT — Bridge City junior-to-be Cadence Underwood received the Girls Character and Leadership Award at the Babe Zaharias Junior Golf Awards Tuesday night. Underwood led the Lady Cardinals on the golf course all season.

Underwood had a tremendous sophomore campaign and advanced to the Class 4A Region III Tournament where she finished a solid 10^th among 80 golfers.
