LAKE CHARLES — On Friday May 31, 2019 at approximately 12:24am Lake Charles Police were dispatched at approximately 12:24 a.m., Friday,  to the area of 1^st Avenue and 15^th Street in regards to shots fired.

When officers arrived in the area they made contact with a subject who told officers that her vehicles had been hit by gun fire.

The victim stated she heard several shots outside her residence. When she went outside she noticed that two of her vehicles had been hit by gun fire. She saw officers in the area and flagged officers down to make a report.

A vehicle was seen leaving the area after the shots were fired.

Information on the vehicle will not be released at this time as this is an ongoing investigation.
