The Storm Prediction Center has increased the threat for strong to severe storms today across our entire region. Large hail, damaging winds, and even an isolated tornado are all possible.

The timing of this bad weather is late morning through the early evening hours.
Storms will start south along and south of the I-10 corridor and work there way inland through the day.
As much as 2 to 3 inches of rain is expected, with locally higher amounts of 6 to 8 inches possible. Expect to see street flooding during periods of heavy rain.
Area rivers are still in minor to moderate flood. Additional rains could push some rivers into major flood status in the next few days.
Finally, tides are running above normal. During high tides, expect to see minor coastal flooding.
