Several Orange County spring athletes were recently named to the Texas High School Coaches Association All-State Academic Team.

The THSCA Academic All-State Teams honor high school athletes who shine in the following categories: grade-point average, class ranks and ACT-SAT scores.

In baseball Orangefield’s Landen Tomlinson earned top honors with an Elite status. Fellow Bobcats Johnny Armstrong and Gus Longron each made Second Team while Blake Bradley earned Honorable Mention.

Bridge City baseballers Ryan Ellis, Trevor Kimbell, Gavin Green and Cory Westlund each made Honorable Mention.

In golf, Orangefield’s Logan Risinger made the Second Team while Lady Bobcat Emmi Lummus made Honorable Mention.
