Two brothers created a disturbance when they began assaulting each other at approximately 6:15 p.m. on Sunda at the 500 block of Cypress in Orange.

Neimiah and Silas Johnson each claimed the other started the dispute, according to a police report.

Orange police officers found Neimiah outside of the residence with a bat while Silas was locked inside.

Neimiah told the officer he asked Silas to put on a shirt in front of his children when Silas started arguing and swinging a metal clothes basket at him.

Silas told the officer Neimiah became angry at him for not wearing a shirt and started hitting him with the same metal clothes basket.

Both had visible injuries on them.

Both brothers wanted to press charges on the other.

Both were placed into custody for assault family violence (Class A).

During a warrant check, Neimiah was found to have a warrant out of Orange Municipal Court.

Once at the jail, both brothers refused to give statements and said they did not want to pursue charges anymore.
