One Person Injured in Crash on Interstate 10 in Orange County

PRESS RELEASE — At approximately 5:45 a.m., Monday, the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers responded to a multiple vehicle crash on Interstate 10 in Orange County.  The crash occurred near mile marker 856.
Initial reports indicate that a passenger vehicle was traveling westbound on Interstate 10.  The driver of the passenger vehicle rear-ended a commercial motor vehicle that was disabled and stopped partially in the roadway.
The driver of the passenger vehicle, 25-year-old Tierra Carter of Beaumont, was transported to St. Elizabeth hospital with minor injuries.
The 18-wheeler was unoccupied at the time of the crash.
Motorists are urged to use caution while traveling in the area of the crash scene.
There are no additional details to be released at this time.
