LC-M’s Peveto a double regional winner after claiming 1,600; heading to State in two events

- Van Wade/Orange Leader LC-M senior Eli Peveto will head to State in both the 3,200 and the 1,600 meters after winning both events at the 4A regionals.
HUNTSVILLE — After rolling to a win in the 3,200 meters on Friday, LC-M senior Eli Peveto, after another great performance in the 1,600 meters on Saturday, will compete at the UIL State Track Meet in two events.
Peveto won the 1,600 meters Saturday at the 4A Region III Track Championships at Sam Houston State, running a sizzling time of 4:26.9.He won the 3,200 on Friday with a time of 9:47.60.
The State Track Meet is May 10-11 at the University of Texas in Austin.
