BRENHAM — The Orangefield girls golf team wrapped up their tremendous season with an eighth-place finish at the Class 3A Region III Championships in Brenham on Thursday.

The Lady Bobcats had a two-round total of 960 (509-451) as they improved 58 strokes on Day Two.

22-3A champion Peyton Beebe led the Lady Bobcats with a 202 (107-95) followed by teammates Jaleigh Montagne 228 (121-107), Natalee Smith 252 (136-116) and Emmi Lummus 278 (145-133).

McGregor won the regional title with a 725 (371-354) and Keene was second with a 753 (377-376).
