PRESS RELEASE — On April 14 of this year, Jarvis Samuel Wilson, 17, of Jasper, was involved in a motor vehicle crash on CR 120 in Jasper County that claimed the life of 17-year-old Muquala Lazenby. Wilson was seriously injured in that crash and transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Based on the investigation conducted by a Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Trooper, Wilson has been charged with intoxication manslaughter.

This remains an active case, and the Jasper County District Attorney’s Office will receive the full investigative report when the investigation is completed.
