PRESS RELEASE — The Storm Prediction Center is still carrying a marginal to slight risk (5-15%) for severe storms for our region. The timing of the storms will be between midnight and 6 am Thursday for southeast Texas, 3 am and 9 am Thursday for central and southwest Louisiana, and 6 am and noon Thursday for south central Louisiana.
The primary threat is damaging winds and an isolated tornado.
In addition, one to three inches of rain is forecast, with locally higher amounts possible. In the heaviest rains, expect to see street flooding.
