Bobcats wallop Hardin in 22-3A action

ORANGEFIELD — The Orangefield Bobcats had everything working on Friday, winning big over Hardin 12-2 in District 22-3A baseball action.

 

The Bobcats (15-8, 11-1) fired up the offense in the first inning.  Mason Gonzales singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.

 

Orangefield tallied four runs in the fourth inning.  The Bobcat offense in the inning was led by Gunner Jones and Logan Gipson, who all drove in runs.

 

Blake Bradley took the win for Bobcats. He allowed one hit and two runs over three innings, striking out five.  Johnny Armstrong threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

 

Liam Beavsoleil took the loss for Hardin. He surrendered seven runs on four hits over two innings, striking out two.

 

The Bobcats tallied nine hits in the game.  Kent Michael and Bradley each racked up multiple hits for Bobcats.  Bradley and Michael each collected two hits to lead Bobcats.

 

Beavsoleil went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Hardin in hits.

 

The Bobcats travel to Buna on Tuesday.
