It is with great excitement that I, Jane Hill, announce I am running for re-election for Vidor City Council Ward 6. I am so grateful for those who have supported me and to those whom I’ve had a chance to work alongside of this past year. Together we have accomplished so much and still have much more to do!

Vidor has been my home for over 40 years. All of my children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren live in Vidor and have attended or are attending Vidor schools. I am retired and can devote as much time as needed to serve our citizens.

Prior to being elected to City Council, I actively attended council meetings and served on the Planning and Zoning Committee. Throughout this service, I have been committed to aiding in the recovery of Hurricane Harvey and wrapping up some repairs from Hurricane Ike. A lot of efforts have been devoted to grants and repairs to drainage, roads, and ditches. Many unsightly houses have been demolished and there are more to be demolished in the years to come.

Prosperity and growth are the goals looking forward to this City Council.  Several new businesses have opened and plans are in the making for future growth. Our Pride and Progress program has seen new homes being built in our city with more coming this year.

If elected, my goals are to be dedicated to cleaning up Vidor, promoting growth both residential and commercial, and representing each of you to the best of my ability. I want to help make our city flourish in every way possible. With strong leadership and teamwork, we can continue to grow our economy, enhance the quality of life, and build a better future for our Vidor residents.

Please honor me with your vote. I look forward to continuing to serve the great citizens of Vidor. Let’s keep moving forward!
