He Lives

A live presentation of ‘He Lives’, directed by Dr. Suzonne Crockett, is an Easter play based on the story of Jesus Christ with special song service. The first performance is a matinee at 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 20 and a grand finale during the Easter morning service at 11 a.m. Sunday, April 21 at Mount Olive Baptist Church located at 106 West Park Ave. in Orange. Please come and share the good news. Everyone is welcome.

 

Feed the Hungry

Mt. Olive Baptist Church hosts Feed the Hungry from 12 Noon – 1 p.m. each Thursday at the Rosa Watkins Kitchen located at 106 West Park Ave., in Orange.

 

Ladies Tea

Orange First Church of the Nazarene (OFCN) is hosting Ladies Tea celebrating “The Bride of Christ” with speaker Rachel Medlin, executive pastor at Northpoint Community Church, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2019, at the OFCN Dining Hall located at 3810 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Orange. Cost is $5 per person with those 65 and over attend for free. Reservation deadline on May 1. Contact Janet at the church office at 883-4674 from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. Monday – Friday for tickets.

 

Samaritan’s Closet

Samaritan’s Closet is open each Tuesday from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at 1009 Mill Street in Orange. Helping in the community with new and like new clothing, cleaning supplies, toiletries and more.

 

Egg-stravaganza Festival

Orange Naz Church is hosting our first annual EGG-STRAVAGANZA from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Saturday, April 20, at First Church of the Nazarene located at 3810 Martin Luther King Jr Drive in Orange; a new and creative Easter Festival this year! Bring the whole family out to visit all of the different EGG themed booths where they will get to play games, win candy and prizes, jump on inflatables, and even get their faces painted. Then at 11 a.m., Dr. Hairball, our resident mad scientist will be doing an EGG-splosive science experiment presentation where six bikes will be raffled off!! Finally, one family will get the opportunity to win a family fun day to the Astro’s game the following weekend (four tickets and food will be covered). It’s going to be a wonderful event for the whole family. Don’t miss!

Anger Management Classes

Wells of Agape is holding Anger Management Classes start from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, at Life Church Orange located at 18389 Hwy. 62 in Orange (near State Hwy. 62 and Hwy. 105 intersection) Requirement to receive a Certificate of Completion is $30 per person, cash only and covers all three nights. Must be paid prior to first class. One must attend all three Tuesday classes to receive the certificate. Ushers Annual

 

The ushers of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, 1113 N. 2nd Street in Orange, will celebrate its’ Ushers Annual on Sunday, April 28 during the 11 a.m. worship hour.  

Rev. Jerome Nickerson, pastor of Independence Heights Baptist Church, Houston, Texas, will be the guest minister.

The public is cordially invited to come and worship with us on this joyous occasion.

 

Pastor and First Lady Appreciation

Mt. Olive Baptist Church will host Pastor and First Lady Appreciation at 11 a.m. Sunday, April 28 to honor Reverend Ronnie A.E. Crockett, Sr. and Dr. Suzonne Holms-Crockett in a service ‘A God called pastor for a God called people’ 1 Samuel 13:14. Guest minister will be Reverend Hardy O’Neal, pastor at St. James Baptist Church in Orange. Attire is denim or black bottoms with white tops. A fellowship luncheon for all will be served after church, Come one, come all! As we roast the pastor and wife.

 

Time Capsule Placement

St. Paul C.M.E. Church will place a Time Capsule at 11 a.m. Sunday, May 19, 2019, at 1201 N 4th Street in Orange.
