Lady Bobcats blank Kountze in big “Youth Night” victory

ORANGEFIELD – The Orangefield Lady Bobcats defeated the Kountze Lions 10-0 in 6 innings Tuesday night in District 22-3A action at Lady Bobcat Field., celebrating Youth Night in fine fashion.
Codie Sorge got the win on the mound giving up one hit with 13 strikeouts.
Sorge went 2 for 4 with a double and a run scored. Emma Humplik went 2 for 4 with a double, a run scored and an RBI. Alyssa Dodd went 2 for 4 with a homerun and 3 RBI. Heather Mineer went 1 for 2 with an RBI and two runs scored. Olivia Grant went 2 for 3 with a double two runs scored and three RBI. Hannah Dupuis went 2 for 3 with a run scored.
The Lady Bobcats improve to 20-8 on the year and 10-3 in district play. They travel to Hardin on Thursday for their final district game of the year.
